Gemma is a qualified Early Childhood teacher who has worked in the field of special education for over fifteen years. She loves working with children, is passionate about play-based learning and enjoys collaborating with families, caregivers, and other professionals to best support all areas of child development.
Gemma has supported children with disabilities across a range of early childhood, primary school, and special school settings, as well as spending over five years working in a specialist trans-disciplinary team which provided early intervention support for children with autism spectrum disorder, and their families.
She also has experience using Augmentative and Alternative Communication with children who have communication difficulties. Gemma has a Bachelor of Learning Management (Early Childhood) and is excited to be completing her Certificate in Play Therapy Studies.
