Rob has been in Human and Health Services for around 12 years. He has worked as a Disability Support Worker in the home and community, as well as developing care plans and Forensic Case Management. He also has experience in Residential Youth Care, Child Safety and Youth Justice creating meaningful therapeutic relationships, facilitating crisis intervention and life skill development for young people in care.

Most recently, he has worked as a Registered Nurse in Acute Paediatrics, Acute Adult Mental Health and Emergency/Critical Care. Working with people in crisis has developed Rob’s passion for working with a trauma informed, person centred-approach that allows for individual growth and development.

Rob realised his passion for child-led, trauma informed therapy whilst in Paediatrics – looking for ways to facilitate the mental health recovery of patients that have sustained life changing, acute injuries or illness. He is also passionate about the continued education and development needed to be able to support children through their journey with Play Therapy.
