Vanessa values working with children and their families in an anti-oppressive, attachment based, and person centred framework which truly recognises the client as the expert in their own lives.

Vanessa has been working with children and their families in for over 10 years. Starting with running Playgroups for her church community, Vanessa quickly realised that play was her passion. When her children were ready, Vanessa entered the workforce as an Educator in the OSHC sector and worked her way up to managing a 195 place service.  During that time Vanessa developed a deep understanding of the therapeutic benefits of play. This understanding led Vanessa to attain her Child Centred Play Therapy qualifications and apply this knowledge in the Residential Care setting as a Youth Worker specialising in working with children.

Vanessa is currently studying a Masters of Social Work and has recently completed a placement with the Queensland Health Child and Youth Mental Health Team.
