Children express things differently.
We listen.
Children are often not developmentally ready to verbally communicate their difficult thoughts and feelings. In play therapy, toys are like the child’s words, and play is the child’s language. Through this natural process, we help children feel understood, safe, and supported.
What is Play Therapy really all about?
Child-Centred Play Therapy is a gentle, evidence-based approach where children lead the play. In a safe, supportive space, they can explore their feelings, experiences and challenges using toys and play. The therapist follows the child’s lead, showing empathy and unconditional positive regard. This builds trust and helps children feel heard, understood and empowered to heal, grow and thrive in their own time.
