Centre for Play Therapy began delivering clinical training programs in 2018 to provide a pathway to registration as a play therapist in Australia.

In November 2021, Play Therapy Training Australia was launched, to recognise the need for a stand alone organisation to support the growing demand for quality training courses in Australia.

After the successful delivery of clinical play therapy training programs since 2018, founder and CEO Kylie Ellison along with Co- Director Doug Ivins have established Play Therapy Training Australia to acknowledge the continued growth and success of the Centre for Play Therapy’s training services.

Committed to ongoing excellence in the field of play therapy training in Australia, the new company, Play Therapy Training Australia, reflects the vision of both Directors for the expansion and future development of play therapy training and qualification standards for registration as a play therapist in Australia.

Play Therapy Training Australia offers training qualifications and a pathway to registration as a play therapist in Australia, and will continue to uphold the highest levels of professional education in pursuit of recognition of the field of play therapy studies and career opportunities for play therapists across Australia.
